Authority

We as bel!evers have a wonderful privilege. G*d invites us to be part of making the Good News known throughout the earth. He even gives us the authority and the power to do the job. Please be aware that there are unseen sp!r!tual forces which are opposing G*d's plan to bring the Good News to Ms. During this month you should also pray for your own personal protection. We are not to be afraid of the invisible world but to p-ay in faith and confidence aware of dangers and rejoicing in G*d's intervention in favour of all peoples.
Ep 6:10-20, James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8-9, 2 Kings 6:16-17.

  • We need to know who we are in G*d.

  • We are in the he@venly kingdom.

  • J is the world's rightful K-ng.

  • We are p-aying in the name of the Lord.

  • We are seeking His glory.

  • We p-ay for His will to be established.

M woman from the village of Mondo

  • So much has happened during the last 20 years. G*d is at work using many different means to make Himself know among Ms. "30 Days" has played a part in raising awareness and promoting p-ay for Ms among bel=evers worldwide. Lots of things have happened:

  • Positively:

  • The numbr of ministries involving internet, radio, satellite televison and other media efforts directed toward M has exploded.

  • The amount of literature, CDs,DVDs, B!ble and downloadable resources that are available for Ms has increased very significantly.

  • The number of actual missys working in the M world has grown significantly.

  • Thousands of former Ms are proclaiming the Mess!ah to their peoples.

  • Also there are more p-ayer efforts toward the M world than ever before. We know more about M peoples than ever before (their demographics, their culture affinities, their history and the progress of the Gosp#l among them).

  • Efforts to establish bel=evers communities in all ethnic groups is becoming a reality.Ms are exposed to other cultures and religious beliefs more at present than at any point during the last 1,400 yrs.

Negatively:

  • M terrorists have become established in many places around the world. Their most famous attact on 9/11 shocked the whole world.

  • These attacks and others inspired two very difficult wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as many other military and police interventions across the whole world and positive and negative repercussions. Ms have not always been in agreement with the "war against terrorism". Some situations are very complex.

  • More Isl--c television, internet, radio and other media is available now more than ever before.

  • The number of Ms and mosq**s in more Western countries has grown significantly.

  • The Isl--c presence in Europe and in Western countries in general has become a menace for many nations. The largely secular societies in Western countries have difficulties knowing how to handle the increased Isl--mic presence. The fear of terrorism, the fear of the unknown, as well as, prejudice and bigotry towards Ms have grown in most Wetern countries.

Ramadan

Monday, August 1st begins the month long M holiday of Ramadan. We will be trying to post daily to help you P-ay for M's, not only the Rangi, but world wide.

The call to prayer for M's originally came during a meeting of several Chr--tian leaders in the Middle East in 1992. Several bel=evers involved in an international movement strongly sensed G*d's desire to call as many Chr--tians as possible to p-ay for the M world. A p-ayer movement was planned to coincide with the

Is!amic month of Ramadan which follows a lunar calendar (in 2011 this is from August 1-through 30th). It was intended that "30 Days" should be during the month of Ramadan for at least two reasons: (1) as a means for Christians to identify themselves with M's during a fixed period of the year and (2)to call G*d's sovereign intervention in the lives of M's during a time of year when they are particularly religious. Please note that p-aying during the month of Ramadan does not mean that we conform ourselves to the M practices of fasting and prayer. As beli#vers in J we disagree with Is!amic ideas, theology and practices in several areas. However, the "30 Days" movement emphasizes G*d's love for M's. We encourage all bel=evers in the Mess+ah to cultivate a spirit of humility, love, respect and service towards M's.

It is estimated that three to four million M's have come to faith in the Mess+ah in the last 20-30 years. More M's have turned to the Mess+ah in recent years than during the entire last 1,400 years since the time of Moh@mmed.

P-ay with us for the Rangi!

NaneNane (EightEight)

We arrived in Dodoma, the government capital of Tanzania on Thursday, July 28th to begin preparing the biogas generator for demonstrations to begin on Monday. Here Terry is mixing manure with water to put in the large barrel to his right. This will begin making the biogas within two or three days. Nan plans to begin cooking on Monday using only the biogas.
We have already had people who are on the grounds come by to look. P-ay for many opportunities to share with those who come by, not only about the biogas the the main reason we are here in Tanzania.
(the meaning of nanenane is eight eight) Which is the Farmer's Day holiday that will be on August 8th. The Farmer's Day expo runs from August 1st thru August 8th.

Preparing for the Farmer's Expo

Here Nan is putting corn in a plastic jerry can. The screen box behind here is where she puts the corn first to clean out any chafe or any of the cob that is left, as well as rocks, sticks or grass. We will show how to save corn, or any other grain, for long periods of time. We fill the plastic can, put a candle in it and light it then put the lid on. The candle burns out and burns all the oxygen out and we put wax along the lid to seal it. If any bugs are in the corn they will die without oxygen and no bugs can get in because of the was seal. We showed this at the 2009 Farmer's Expo and have just recently open it to show that the corn is as clean and bug free as the day we sealed it. A mouse tried to get and an wasn't able. Last year a man came by to see us and he said his wife had put her peanuts in it like we showed and it was clean and free of bugs.
Terry will once again be showing the biogas generator. This year is a different version of the two previous years. We plan to do more cooking this year making no bake cookies, and several other things using the biogas.
We leave Kondoa this Thursday, July 28th, for Dodoma, where we will set up and get ready. The Farmer's Expo begins Monday, August 1st and runs through August 8th. Pray for us as we travel on Thursday and for the many opportunities to visit with people and share why we are here.
In the past this has given us many opportunities to "visit" M's. It gives us a good reputation and makes us people who care about the Tanzanians.

This is a very large mosque in Dodoma, the government capital of Tanzania. From what we have been told a lot of money was contributed to build it by Muammur Khaddafi, the Libyan dictator. It just reminds us of the the lostness of the M people. We see it every time we pass through Dodoma on our way to Dar es Salaam. We went this week to get Nan's new passport, they had misspelled Williams, and it has taken us almost two months to get a new passport, but we have it now!!!
