Choir

Last Sunday was our first worship time with our choir. They had practiced for three afternoons the week before. The lady in the red volunteered to be our choir leader. This was a definate answer to pr-yer. Please pr-y for more leaders, men and women, and for His ch--ch to grow and glorify Him.

Tuesday Story Time

Here are some of the children who come to our Tuesday story time. This week we were studying the Ten Commandments. As usual we had a picture to color and take home. If you look closely, you can see that none of the children have shoes on. Oh yes, they had flip flops on when they got here, but the minute they get inside they gate they take them off and play in the grass. They have never had grass like ours to play in and they all love it! See the little guy on the far right? He would lay down in the grass and act like he was hiding from me, then peep his head up and grin really big. We are still having about 20 each week, they love coming, not only for the story time, but some small pieces of candy, color sheets, and time to play. Pr-y for these chidren and their homes, for G to lead them to know Him in a real and personal way.

A QUESTION FOR THE FARMERS

See our carrot crop, we would like to know if anyone has any idea why our carrots are so deformed? The soil was rich and loamy and we had removed lots of rocks, but as you can see, they sure are funny shapes. We would like to hear your thoughts.

Hey, got help with uploading our picture, so here is our "basket" of corn and broccoli. Eat your hearts out!

Harvest Fruits

We wanted to show you some of our harvest from our small garden, but for now we can't download pictures, don't know why. Picture a nice size basket with corn and broccoli. The garden produced 42 ears of corn and we have had broccoli almost continually since June. We also have had lettuce and carrots, although they were mostly little nubs. We still have yellow onions and strawberries to produce. Our small garden has given us lots of opportunities to "meet" neighbors and people passing by on the road. We have given carrot, okra and broccoli seeds to our neighbors behind us, a M family. Please pr-y for the harvest of new Cs.

Sunday Service

On the far left, Everest looks on as Terry reads the scriptures. The picture on the right is our choir, Tumaini, Edena, Agnes and Esther. On this Sunday we had 9, 7 children and 2 adults, not counting Terry & Nan.
We ask that you pr-y for adults to come. We have many people asking us about our "ch--ch", but as yet few to come. The children are still enjoying the Tuesday B story time and our numbers are back to close to 20 since school has started.

Sunday, January 17, 2010

Today is Sunday, January 17th, and we had 19 present for our worship time. We had pr-yed this week for adults to come and we had three, not counting Terry, Nan and one of our peace corp volunteers. We praise G for those who came and heard G's word. Terry presented the plan of salvation in a very clear way. Many Tanzanians feel that church membership is the way to heaven, or they were born Ch or if they follow the "laws" of the church they will go to heaven. We are very thankful for those that heard and we hold fast to the scripture that says, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it". Isaiah 55:11 Keep pr-ying for more adults to come, men and women, and that G would build His ch--ch.
