Our new home in Kondoa

This is our house in Kondoa. It has three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, livingroom and dinning area. From what we have been told the two guest rooms are on the far left, middle area is kitchen, living and dinning rooms and master bedroom w/bath next to a garage. The garage will serve as storage since we have to sell our sea container that is in Shinyanga. There isn't a fence yet, but that will be done as soon as we get there.

Arrival in Tanzania

We arrived in Dar es Salaam Tanzania on Tuesday night at about 10:00 pm. All our bags made it which we are grateful. We had a great trip, in Detroit we actually got out of one plane and walked across the hallway to board the flight to Amsterdam (clock work was perfect). We will be in Dar until next Monday at the earliest waiting on our vehicle to be worked on.

We have seen pictures of our house and will send that in the next day or so. It is in a nice area, with lots of yard space for our dogs. We will have to build a fence when we get there.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and we will keep you updated on the news from here.

Count Down

We have finished filling our crate and it is ready to be picked up. A special thanks to all those who helped with the goodies that went inside. The crate is 110 cubic feet, about 5 feet tall, 5 feet long and 4 feet wide. We will really appreciate all that is inside when we get it, sometime later this year (or next?).

Please pray for us as we say good-byes to family in the next two weeks. We leave on March 2nd from Fort Smith AR, then to Memphis TN, then to Detroit, MI. From the US we fly to Amsterdam with only a 3 hour lay over before heading to Dar es Salaam Tanzania. We will arrive in Dar at about 10:10 pm on Tuesday night on March 3rd.

It has been a good stateside, we have reconnected with family, old friends and made new friends. Thank you all for your continued prayers. In His Service, Nan & Terry

This is a photo of Nan teaching at a village near our home in Shinyanga.
Starting small group Bible studies have been successful in the past
and that is one of the goals when we get to Kondoa (cone-dough-aa).
We must be invited into their "area" or home before we can begin these small groups.

This is a photo of Terry teaching AI at dairy.

When we return to Tanzania in March of 2009 we will begin new work.
We want to be able to use the skills we have learned that works with the Tanzania's and that is teaching in small groups and things about livestock. Begin praying now for opportunities to begin this new work.

Please pray for medical approval to return to the field.

Prayer Requests

Please pray specifically for medcial approval/release to return to the field in March.

Pray for us as we travel and speak during our stateside, that everything will be said to Glorify Jesus.

Pray for persons on peace among the Rangi, for them to have dreams and visions of a white person to come and tell them the "truth".
