Mini Expo at our home

After we got back home from the Farmer's Day we held a mini expo at our home for our neighbors. We made announcements and handed them out and had about 50 people come to see the things that we had demonstrated in the government capital. Everything was well received and we had a good afternoon. Here Terry is sharing with two of our neighbor women about the biogas generator.

In the next few days, 8/28 through 30, we will be traveling. Please pr-y for us, for endurance over the roads (most will be dirt), for the Nissan Patrol we drive, for tires, battery and to be alert for people and bicycles around us.

Farmer's Day/Week

Here Nan is showing the biogas generator. We learned very quickly that if we worked in a circle, we would take our visitors from the biogas generator, to storage of corn, solar cooking then water purification using the sun. Sometimes it didn't work, but that was the plan.
On Friday the police were able to return Nan's camera. The boy was spotted in town and when he realized the police were after him he dropped the camera and ran. The camera was recoverd without the SD card, be we had an extra, the boy did get away.
Over the weeks time we gave out about 400 copies about the biogas generator and over 350 of solar cooking and water purification. We learned a lot about what to do next year. From Thursday thru Saturday we were overwhelmed with the numbers of people. We were still able to share our testimonies many times.
Many doors have been opened to us and to teaching, just by us being at the week long event. On Monday, the 10th, 5 women from the district political party came to visit us. They want Nan to teach them about using the biogas generator. There were M women in the group and while they were in our home Nan had an opportunity to pr-y for them. Today, Tuesday, a man from a M village came to ask Terry to come to build a biogas generator.
On Monday, August 17th, we will have a mini demonstration of the things we showed in Dodoma at Farmer's Day/Week at our home. We will be inviting our neighbors to come to see these things. Please pr-y for us and for more open doors for teaching the Word.

Agriculture and Livestock Expo

The celebration of Farmer's Day began on Saturday, August 1st. It has been a good week, we have been interview by radio and television and many people have come to see the biogas generator, solar cookers, water purification using the sun and the grain storage. Today, both Terry & Nan had opportunities to share their testimonies and two young men pr-yed to receive Christ, they are high school students in Dodoma. Pr-y for them as they go back to their villages and school that will share with family and friend their decision and that they will find a church that they can worship in and grow in Christ.

One bad thing, we had our camera stolen on Monday, so we won't be able to show you pictures for the remainder of the week, unless we are able to download pictures from others who have pictures to share.

Please continue to pr-y for us as we share our testimonies and God's great love for all people.

TERRY SHOWS THE BIOGAS GENERATOR

The District Agriculture and Livestock Expo began today, August 1st, and will continue through August 8th, in Dodoma, Tanzania. Many people stopped by our area today to look at the things we were displaying. Here Terry explains to the Prime Minister of Tanzania and many other government officials the biogas generator. There is much interest in this technology and materials are readily available to many Tanzanians because they keep cattle, goats, sheep, hogs and/or donkeys. This biogas generator will last about a month before needing to be "recharged". Pr-y for us to have opportunities to share our testimonies with those who come by our area. Terry shared his testimony yesterday while he was getting our vehicle wheels balanced and today Nan shared her testimony with a lady who was interested in the solar cooker. Pr-y we will be bold in our witness.
